Tips and tricks for healthier,more beautiful skin!






Its often said that your skin is a reflection of how healthy your insides are. So if you've been suffering from red,dry and lifeless skin, maybe you just need a few little pick-me-ups that will help revive your skin and bring it back to life! Take a look at these six tips and tricks we've put together for you, so you can start seeing results.


Water

Water is essential  for our bodies to function properly. Better Health outlined the importance of drinking at least 2L of water a day, mentioning that it helps to regulate body temperature, aids digestion and constipation, carries nutrients and oxygen to cells and maintains your over-all health.


Green Tea

If you're suffering from red or blotchy skin, drink green tea. Its powerful anti-inflammatory properties offer a soothing effect on the skin. Andrea Cambio, a dermatologist in Cape Coral, Florida says that its best to have green tea chilled, as hot beverages can worsen red skin especially rosacea. Try having a cup of green tea in the morning instead of your daily coffee, as a healthier alternative.


Coconut oil 

This type of oil provides immediate moisture to your skin, so it doubles as an excellent all over moisturiser. It contains fatty acids which when absorbed directly into the skin, can be utilised for nutrition and energy.It has also been said that it is a natural treatment for problem skin like acne, killing the bacteria causing the acne. So not only will your skin look amazing,but will smell amazing too!


 
Apple cider vinegar

The Huffington post recently said that apple cider vinegar works wonders for not only your skin,but for your overall health.
Applying a few drops to your face can help reduce inflammation on your skin. Using this topically to your t-zone and other oily spots of your face can help prevent future breakouts from occurring. It also doubles as a hair treatment! Instead of using shampoo, use the vinegar to reduce frizz, makes strands shinier and stimulates the scalp to promote hair growth.


Evening Primrose Oil 

This is useful for  eczema and a number of other skin problem. Natural Alternative Remedy website says that due to its GLA(gamma linolenic acid) content and other essential fatty acids which are necessary to correct skin health,primrose oil benefits people with skin inflammatory issues and rosacea.

Holistic health coach and writer  Jessica Ainscough says that chia seeds are basically food for your skin,hair and nails. The seeds keep your skin looking plump and soft due to the high  omega 3 and protein percentage. It also helps to strengthen the cell membrane barrier that allows water and nutrients in- and keeps bad toxins out!
